CAM - Club des Amis Exhibition 2024
In May some of our members attended the annual Club des Amis Exhibition which this year was held in the pretty town of Espalion, by the river Lot, deep in South West France.

There were two competition themes, one general, the second about “all things diving”, an apparently strange choice for a town deep in rural France, until you discover that the 2 French engineers, who pioneered early state of the art diving helmets and bathyscaphes, were born in Espalion.

The construction was master minded by Bernard Guittard, with parts donated by CAM members and built in sections by a large number of CAM members. There is talk of the model being displayed in the cathedral itself. (09/05/2024)
