A model of a pre-war American Limo by Keith Remnant. He saw a photo on one of the Meccano Facebook pages and decided this was the next model he wanted to build, so he made this one up as he went on. It has a motor but he couldn't get the steering wheel to link with the front wheels of the vehicle, so although it moves, it can't be steered.
The fold down section at the back is made from leather cut from and old jacket.
When I showed it at the first Zoom meeting, Brendan referred to it as a "gangster" car and expected to see a machine gun poking out from a window! (13/06/2020)Click here to see higher resolution photo

Left rear a Set 9 bus, upgraded with interior and displayed as route 124
To the right of the bus is an oil tanker. The model followed on from an article on what was then believed to be the largest oil tanker in the world, the Spyros Niarchos which had been featured in the March 1956 edition of the Meccano Magazine, and on which the published model plans were loosely based.
